Cake Balls?

so today i made "strawberry lemonade" cake balls for my co-workers

they where covered in white chocolate

and i brought them to work

and everybody was ravin about them haha

threw the walkies all i heard was "jasmine those are like heaven in your mouth !"

and my manager radioed the stock room and told them not to eat them all aha

it was cool everybody liked them that makes me feel good

and to be honest i didnt even try one lol

im staying true to my diet aha

Weekly Update

hey everybody its me jasmine =]

unlike alberto my week for school doesnt end until friday

and my work week on sunday haha

school was okay i was really drained

on friday i didnt feel well at all

i worked on saturday and i didnt realized that we get paid every friday instead of bi-weekly lol

uhm i went to a party on saturday it was really fun i havent had that much fun in a while

i worked today 11-4

then i went on an adventure to the fashion show mall with my co-worker star

i bought this really cute betsey johnson wristlet wallet type thing haha

heres a picture of it to the side.

CUTE RIGHT ?!! it like unfolds and stuff so cute i love it . i also bought these hello kitty boxers aha. but on the baking side of life . i havnt really done anything and im pretty sad about that hmm i hope the orders start rolling in soon . i hope you all are having a good week or had one for that matter . bye !

Thank god it's Sunday.
Talk about crazy week, well crazy Saturday mostly.
I was on my feet from 8am-11pm.
I practiced fabricating my chicken, and the end product is now chicken noodle soup. Mhmmm delicious. Most importantly I finished the spiderman cake. Personaly, it's not my best work, or my favorite (I'm my biggest critic.) but in the end, it wasn't all bad. And as promised I'm including a picture.

Week update

Hello everyone!
I'm not sure who exactly it is reading this. But I'm sure you're ou there.
I'm here to inform you of my crazy week that has yet to come to an end.

Let's start off with school: it has been taking over my life. School papers, science bullsh**, and a 4 hour long sanitation class that's a waste of my time.
But let me get right into the interesting part.
Culinary was something today, we worked on beef and pork! Well I worked on pork, I made pepper pork chops! It had bell peppers, mushrooms, onions, and LOTS of butter and oil. It was all braised together with a bit of chicken stock to create a giant pot of deliciousness. Mhmm good stuff. I would have shown you (if I knew who you were) but I don't think of taking pictures.

On the baking side of my life, I recieved an order for a birthday cake. A spiderman birthday cake to be exact!! It's not fondant And it's only a sheet cake, but I'm excited non the less. I'm going to have fun. I'll be sure to take pictures to show you guys. Also, my school is holding a gingerbread decorating thing. I'm not sure what to call it. But I will be participating in that, making my own AMAZING gingerbread house. I will be sure to keep you guys posted. :]
On that note, I'm off to bake my life away!

All About Alberto

Hello everyone!!! Welcome to our blog! Jasmine and I are fairly new at this, and it will definatly be a little bit of trial and error, but I'm really excited about this blog because I'll


be able to share my thoughts, opinions and experiences with strangers that share the same interest (that would be you).

First of all, I may be only 18 years old, but don't let the age fool you. I have two years of culinary experience under my belt, and I'm not talking about your highschool homech class. Most of my knowledge is in the baking side of the industry, but I am do want to pursue a carreer as a restaurant chef.
I have competed and placed in a state wide baking competition, which later helped me use my knowledge to bake and decorate some pretty unique fondant cakes; pictures will be posted soon. As far as working in the industry, that is a story for another day.
This post is fairly long already, so I'll leave you to soak in this information before bombarding you with more.
